Opinion: He was a very important person but we don’t know much about him.
The Garden of Remebrance
It is placed in the center of the city and it was designed by Daithi Hanly, and it was built in memory of all who gave their lives for a free Ireland, the garden tries to be a place to remeber and to think silently. It was opened in 1966 by the president Eamon the Valera , to commemorate 50th anniversary of the Easter raising of 1916. The central point of the enclosure is the statue of the children of lir, that symbolizes the renaissance and the resurection.
Opinion: This is a beautiful garden and his history is amazing, the wars between Ireland and England. It’s a really interesting garden.
International Monument
Custom House
It was built in 18th century in neoclassic style. During 20th century the building was blown and was re-built. It is on the bank of the river Liffey.
Opinion: It is a impresioning building, but we only see then when we are outside.
O´Connell Monument.
It is one of the monuments of the O´Connell street. It represents the nationalistic leader of the nationalistic century 19th, Daniel O´Connell, he achieved the catholic independence for the Irish and he fought for the derogation of the record of union of close United Kingdom and Ireland.
Opinion: It is a big statue with a man on top but we think it isn’t very interesting.
Four Courts
Opinion: It is a very famous building and we think it is very big and impressing.
Christ Cathedral Church
It is the cathedral of the Holiest Trinity. It is the most ancient of two protestant cathedrals of Dublin.The cathedral started being a temple of wood. In 1172 the contruction of the current church of stones started. The Church suffered many changes finished with neogotic style.
Opinion: We haven’t seen a lot of the catedral but it is very big and it has beautiful gardens.
Molly Malone
It was a “tart with the cart” she was a saleswoman of fish and she sold cockles and mussels for the streets of Dublin.
